PARENT ADVISORY MEETING The next Parent Advisory Meeting is being held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the school library. Late Start Tuesdays - Cancelled in January Due to examination schedules, there will NOT be any late starts on Tuesdays in January. Parents of Grade 11 Students Parent Volunteers are needed to help at this year's Safe Grad Fashion Show. As most Grade 12 parents will be watching the show, we are in need of parents of Grade 11 students to help behind the scenes. Duties include helping in the dressing rooms and providing security. Show date is Friday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m. If you are able to volunteer, please contact Candace Yaholkoski, School Counsellor at 888-0684 (ext. 212). When your child graduates next year, we hope to find equally fabulous Grade 11 parent volunteers so that you may watch your son or daughter dance in the Fashion Show. Grade 12 Grad Fundraiser Don't miss this fundraising opportunity. Get your Steak night Fundraiser Tickets. The Steak Night fundraiser will be held February 23, Thursday from 6-9 at the Tijuana Yacht Club. Cost of tickets is $20. This will be a great night for everyone. There will be a silent auction, 50/50 draw, and door prizes. The due date to get these tickets is February 14. Please see Mrs. Blankenborg or Mrs. Ansloos for tickets. CUBA MEETING There will be a meeting on THURSDAY, MARCH 22nd AT 7:15 p.m. in the band room for any grade 10 & 11 music students (accompanied by a parent) interested in going on the 2013 TRIP TO CUBA. -Attendance reporting by email can be sent to attendance_cshc@sjsd.net Late Policy Due to poor attendance patterns demonstrated by some students, the following policy change will come into effect: AS OF FEBRUARY 15, 2011: All students in all grades who are late for class must report to the office to meet wi th an administrator to explain the reasons for their late arrival and to receive a late slip. Teachers will only allow students into class if they have a late slip. Students will be assigned a one hour detention if they accumulates three (3) lates.
